Wall jewelry!  That's what these new little paintings remind me of..why? Because the molding paste and cheesecloth flows are painted with three different metallic paints that are then"antiqued."  With all the extra curliques and the beautiful glass bauble they end up looking a lot like really neat jewelry! In this new Heart Series of paintings I am concentrating on the "jewel" in the center.... the really fun part of the painting for me!  This painting is done on an 8" by 8" by 3/4" panel.  A mirror behind the glass allows for some great reflections which brings life to the glass.  It's small but powerful! And boy does it look great on my new brown accent wall in the studio!
