Working with the National Honor Art Society students to create self portraits was a lot of fun and gave me the opportunity to see how hard they work and how invested they are in their art. After long days in the classroom they were willing to come after school for a collage workshop. They dont'get extra credit but they did get the opportunity to make something different that can go in their portfolios and add to the possibles going to the Scholastic Art Show.
These student work really hard and CAA is wanting to reward at least three of them with a very nice scholarship...so..Giving Tuesday is one way we hope to raise the money to do that!
Helen's Originals showcases abstract acrylic mixed media, printmaking with monotypes, dry point and gyotaku, figurative collage, and informative blog entries.
