During the month of May, Prosperity will be hanging in Islanders' Restaurtant at the Triangle on Camano Island. If you have never been there to try their pizza you need to make plans. The two young men that own this great place used to be students of mine. I am so glad to report that they turned out really great..I was a bit worried about them when they were in 7th adn 8th grade....a hard time for lots of us! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is just as nice. Doris from the Seagrass Gallery keeps the walls hung with very interesting art work. She is hanging a collection of different artists in May to advertise for the CAA Studio Tour..thank you Doris!!
This means that I have three pieces out there vying for the attention of potential buyers....Radiance at Salon Soleil, Poresperity at Islanders', and Inner Lagoon at the Seagrass Gallery.
I know there will be many art lovers out for the tour, and I am looking forward to meeting all of you!!
Inner Lagoon is at the Seagrass Gallery!! I've got the gang out and advertising for the big event....the CAA Studio Tour on Mother's Day weekend and the following weekend. It's a first for us to be showing in this very nice gallery at Camano Plaza, and hopefully, it will help to have the extra exposure. I know it's hard to get all the way down the east side as far south as location 20..but hey, it's worth the effort!! Pamela and I will be waiting with cheery smiles to greet you.
The CAA Studio Tour will be two weekends this May!! It is always held over Mother's Day weekend but this year it is extended to the next weekend as well. Gives everyone more time to see all the really great studios on the island and in Stanwood. I'll be at Location 20....the same great place I was last year. The brochures are done and distributed ..there is a great map inside; you will have no problem finding all your favorites!
Be sure to stop in at Laurie's, downtown Stanwood, after you are done and check out her new shop..I understand she is pouring wine and serving goodies!! If you are a fan you have seen Laurie in this Blog when we were doing those concrete leaves..she is one of my very talented neighbors!!
It was exciting to get my new World Ark magazine and learn about all of the wonderful opportunities that are available thorugh this organization. A Study Tour in Peru!! Now that would be fun. I lived there as a child and have been thinking about a trip back to see all the amazing things I saw as a child...as an adult. I'm looking into their study tour in September!! There was also an article about a 13 year old girl who has raised $15,000! I feel encouraged to continue with my art and my giving of %10 of sales to Heifer. More info later on the Study Tour!!
