Mark your calendars !! Saturday, January 8th in downtown Stanwood there will be an abstract art show opening!!! This is the first show that I am aware of around here devoted only to abstract work. It is going to be a very exciting and interesting show so even if you are not into abstract you will want to come just to be a part of something so new and different....and ..you might find that abstracts are really very cooool!!
I will be represented by Introspection....her glass bauble is a crackly clear crystal ball, she has three small mirrors partially hidden by gels, and for the first time puzzle bark that looks somewhat like a reef with maple pod mantas swimming within. Well..you just have to see it!
John and I will be there and we look forward to visting with you!
I like your work. How exciting to be part of just an abstrat show! I enjoy your newsletters and keeping up with you and your work.Happy New Year to you and John.
Several of my paintings have decided to spend December at Islander's Restautant at the Triangle on Camano Island. Awakening is barely dry and already out there showing off!
Islander's is a great place for pizza....John loves the blue cheese burger!! The owners are former students of mine...many years ago..... and great supporters of the arts. Thank you to the Lukehart twins!!
I have been working to put my art up and out there this year, and I have been pretty successful. This month I have displays in three locations...Seagrass Gallery, Laurie's Boutique, and now Islander's!!
Helen's Originals showcases abstract acrylic mixed media, printmaking with monotypes, dry point and gyotaku, figurative collage, and informative blog entries.
