A new piece just in time for an event...how exciting. Lots of opportunities just fell from the sky in the last couple of weeks so all my babies are out being shown during the holiday season. I've got four at Cannon Beach at the Haystack Gallery, five at Seagrass Gallery on Camano Island, five at Laurie's in downtown Stanwood and this Friday I will have seven paintings at Ornamental Arts Gallery in Marysville, Washington. I am the featured artist in November and will be there to celebrate all things art on November 2. Please come by!
My boxes are also available at all of those locations except Cannon Beach. They are all one of a kind featuring fused glass, antique..old...jewelry, vintage glass buttons, and yarns. They are great as gifts, wrapping gifts, or as dream boxes. Just pop in your wish/dream and wait for it to come true! The larger ones could be used to hold your love letters or the interesting things you collect on a trip....that is how I intend to use the ones I keep. Do people still get love letters or have I just dated myself???
Seagrass Gallery is setting up for the big Holiday Show that starts this Friday night at The Loft at the Triangle. Not from Camano? That is at Terry's Corner right next to Islander's Restaurant. The artists will be there on Friday at 6:00 P.M. to talk with customers...it is going to be fun and WOW do they have some really neat things...throughout the Market Place .....chocolates greet you as you enter. The Coffee Roasters gift Shop is there as well. You will have to check it all out before coming upstairs to check out the art.
My new thing this season is my gifty boxes. I'm just wrapping my paintings around canvas covered boxes. The mini ones don't get all the layers the bigger ones do but...they really look cool. On top I'm adding "jewels" some are glass pieces from Dolors Ruscha,,,,others will have vintage glass buttons..feathers?? old jewelry pieces....I'm having a blast making them!

The Ornamental Arts Gallery at 13805 Smokey Point Blvd. in Marysville will be featuring my art work in November. The open house is November 2nd with food, wine, music....and me. I would love to talk to you about what I have been up to of late......the new little jewel boxes will be having their coming out party as well. The gallery will have a number of my pieces in various sizes.

What fun! I'm loving these little guys. The most fun is picking the jewels to go on the top with yarns...feathers...shells. I love the shells with the pearls so that is next. At the moment I have three more in process and am really wanting to add a shell with the pearls. Last night Dolors Ruscha gave me a box of her glass pieces that she didn't need anymore so expect to see some fancy glass on the tops as well. We are planning an open house together in November where you will be able to check these little boxes out! Also..Seagrass Gallery is having a holiday show and Ornamental Arts Gallery as well.
There will be loads of little jewels to pick from in a number of different locations.
