I am stoked..exuberant really...over the addition of number 121 to my painting inventory. Guess I am also excited that I have actually kept a list...somewhat unlike me. Thank you Alison, my Artbiz coach. It is hard to believe that I have created this many paintings...incredible. I'm really sticking with this being an artist gig.
Now, do I have to be actually making art to be an artist? There are those that would say no......but really??? is just thinking about making a painting the same as doing it? I think not even though I can see how it might be fun and so much easier to clean up the mess.....no worries about sales, galleries, critics.
It will be interesting to see the changes in my work when I'm writing about number 221 and 476.....it gives me a headache to think I will have to come up with that many more names....I love naming my paintings but it isn't always easy.
Introducing my new studio assistant, Rumpleteazer....Teazer or Mr. T for short. One day and I can already see the glories of having a little helper. Little paw prints are something new to my work and tail drags through the paint can be interesting....the problem? I don't seem to get much done as I have a battle to keep him from eating the paint and drinking the the wash water...to say nothing of the jumping onto the canvas!
But he does bring some really cool energy into the Studio...if I could just bottle that!!! Ohhh to be able to leap and climb curtains in a single bound.....We'll see how it goes on day two. I finished Exuberance but that was done outside with the last flick of purple! I can sign my name with a cat on my shoulder... we'll see if that is the limit manana. The blue wash over the three new canvases was a bit of a struggle....but he is soooo cute! AND..Bella doesn't like him so he has found sanctuary in the Studio.
This is the store front you are looking for when you arrive in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The Abstract World show continues through July so make your plans to visit the Oregon coast and drop in to see my girls. So far they are having a blast.....they love the independence of being out on their own!
I've just finished two paintings and have two more in the line up. The Stanwood Art Walk is starting up this month...the 27th. I'll be in the September one at Laurie's on September 28th. Hope to have several new things to introduce to my fans.
How exciting! My work up there on the Haystack Gallery's web site next to some really great artists. I'm very pleased to have my work shown along side these very talented people. Check out the gallery's home page at www.haystackgallery.com and see if I am not busting into the big time!
Five of my pieces will be in this show, The Abstaract World. Can't make it to Cannon Beach? Then just have a blast looking at the web site! I'm sure they'll ship if you find something you just have to have.
I've got three paintings I am now working on in the hopes they will need replacements.....optimism...it's a gooood thing.
